Venue Gates Open: 7:30am

Parking
Spectator parking will be in P3 and P2. Please follow the directions of parking attendants.
Team and Association Officials’ parking will be in P4 and P5 – a parking permit displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle will be required for this area.
After parking, please follow signage to enter the Indoor Arena 5 via the Main Entrance.
Allocated Seating
Each Association has been allocated a section in the Grandstand.

Trial Format
Inter Association Competition with both individual and school team events, for boys and girls. Competition is age based. All students must compete in their age group as at 31/12 in the YOC.
Please note: Primary students must be 8 – 13. While 8, 9 & 13 Year olds may represent CIS and compete at NSWPSSA, they cannot be selected in the NSWPSSA Team to attend the School Sport Australia Championships.
Secondary students may not turn 20 in the YOC.

CIS Merchandise & Apparel will also be available for purchase on the day of the event from the CIS Uniform provider, Valour.

Additional Information
First Aid: First Aid Officers will be available. The ambulance will be located near the exit from the finish line. Students that use asthma puffers or EpiPens should have these with them on the day. Students are to provide their own sunscreen.
Dress: Students must compete in Association running strip. Running shoes must be worn, no spikes. No mobile phones or AirPods/Headphones allowed.
Food & Drink: Refreshments, lunches, drinks and snacks are available from the food kiosk in the Indoor Arena 5.
Wet Weather: The CIS Cross Country will go ahead regardless of the weather. In adverse conditions students should come prepared with additional clothing and footwear for after their event.
CIS Team: The top 6 place getters in each event at the Primary level and the top 10 place getters at the Secondary level automatically qualify for the NSWCIS Primary and Secondary Cross Country Team. The CIS Primary Team will compete at the NSWPSSA Cross Country Championships on Wednesday 22 July, and the CIS Secondary Team will compete at the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships on Tuesday 21 July, both to be held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. These students are required to report to the Team Room at the conclusion of their race. Team members will need to register, pay the levy and purchase uniform on the day.
Costs associated with competing at the next level include the Team member Levy and Mandatory Uniform Costs.
Multi-Class Athletes
(i) Each athlete in multi-class events must have a current sporting classification (national, provisional or review status). This should be included in each Multi-class Athlete’s entry from Associations and should fall within the categories in the ‘Eligible Classifications’ table in this link.
(ii) Where medical clearance is required, this should be provided to NSWCIS 14 days prior to the NSWCIS Cross Country Championships.
(iii) The verification of classifications will be done against the Australian Athletics Classification Masterlist or Sport Inclusion Australia Masterlists and in conjunction with Deaf Sports Australia, Paralympics Australia, Sports Inclusion Australia and Transplant Australia. Athletes who do not have a classification prior to competition will be ineligible to compete.
(iv) Maximum of 3 competitors per event will be selected provided they meet the NSWPSSA Cross Country Championships selection/entry criteria (see Suggested Qualifying Standards)
