2023 CIS Secondary Swimming & Diving Championships

The 2023 CIS Secondary Swimming & Diving Championships will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 May, 2023. 

Please read through the following information carefully. 

Timing

Swimming

Session 1 - Monday 1 May

Entry: 4:30pm

Warm Up: 5:00pm

Clear Pool: 5:45pm

Carnival Commences: 6:00pm

Carnival Concludes: 9:30pm

Session 2 - Tuesday 2 May

Entry: 7:30am

Warm Up: 8:00am

Clear Pool: 8:45am

Carnival Commences: 9:00am

Carnival Concludes: 4:00pm

Warm Up: Diving Warm-Up will occur prior to each session. Please refer to the Diving Program of Events for details.

Entry and Exit

Carnival Entry and Exit will be through the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre General Entry only. The Mouse Hole Entry will not be open. 

Whilst awaiting entry please follow directions of staff and signage.

Live Streaming

The CIS Secondary Swimming Championships will be live streamed through Cluch. The Live Stream link will be available on Cluch TV prior to the Championships. 


If you do not give permission for you child to be live streamed, please contact CIS. 

This can also be indicated on the Online Nomination form which parents complete prior to the event. 

Schools/Associations must notify CIS of any students that they are aware of that are not to be live streamed. 

Please note:

  • You will be required to Sign Up/Sign In on the Cluch website in order to access the stream; 
  • There is a $6.99 Subscription Fee to access the 2023 NSWCIS Secondary Swimming Championships Live Stream.

The full stream will be available, as well as each individual race following the event.

Want to skip the queue? Pre-order your CIS Merchandise online at Valour Sport.

Order by 7am on Friday 28 April to collect on Monday or Tuesday at the event from the Valour Click & Collect Pop Up. Simply select the 'Click and Collect' option at check out. 

On the Day

CIS Merchandise will also be available for purchase on the day of the event from Valour Stand.

Additional Carnival Information

Parking: Parking is available in the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre Car Park for a flat rate of $18 per day.

First Aid: First Aid is provided by Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. 

Dress: Swimmers must fall in line with FINA rules and requirements regarding swimming gear. All competitors in both individual and relay events must wear their Association Cap.
NSWCIS supports the Inclusive Swimwear Policy. Swimmers (supported by an Association Official) are required to seek approval from the Referee prior to the commencement of the meet. 

Food & Drink: Food concession stands will be available at the venue. Students are encouraged to bring their own snacks, lunch and water with them. 

Assigned Seating Areas: Please ensure you are seated in the area designated to your Association only. View MAP.

Spectators: Spectators must stay in the grandstand area. No spectators will be permitted in the Marshalling Area or on Pool Deck. 

Coaches: Coaches who wish to access the Pool Deck must follow the guidelines:

  1. Bring Accreditation to the event
  2. Check In with the Entry Marshalls at the front gates to complete registration and receive wrist band.
  3. Wear wrist band at all times and remain in the designated Coach Area when on Pool Deck.

Protests: Any protests must follow the Protest Procedure, and come through the Association Team Manager only. 

Marshalling for Relays: Only the lead off swimmer from each relay team is to go to the marshalling area. The remaining swimmers are to go directly to their lanes. 

NSW All Schools Swimming Championships: Will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 June, 2023. Swimmers who are selected to the CIS Swim Team must report to the Shane Gould Room to register for the NSW All Schools Championships, purchase uniform and pay the levy. 

NSW All Schools Diving Championships: Will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Friday 2 June 2023. Divers who are selected to the CIS Dive Team must report to the Shane Gould Room to register for the NSW All Schools Championships, purchase uniform and pay the levy. 

NSWCIS Secondary Swimming Carnival App

Additional Event Nominations

The students from CIS who have been selected to attend the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships to swim the 1500m, 800m and 400m Freestyle, and 400m IM can be viewed HERE.

These students will be required to report to the Shane Gould Room on the day of the CIS Championships (if at the Championships for other events) to register, purchase uniform and pay the levy.

Alternatively, these students will receive instructions to complete this online, following the CIS Championships. 

Please note: Reserves will not be required to register unless called into the team.
