The 2021 CIS Primary Swimming & Diving Championships will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Thursday 18 March, 2021. 

Due to the impact of COVID-19, there are a number of additional plans in place to ensure the safety of all attendees. Please read through the following information carefully. 

Swimming

Warm Up: 7:30am

Clear Pool: 8:15am

Carnival Commences: 8:30am

Carnival Concludes: 3:00pm

Please note: 

• CIS recommends only those involved in relays and the Junior Freestyle events  (Events 1 - 10) arrive in time for the warm up at 7:30am 
• Competitors in Events 11 onwards should arrive no earlier than 9:15am 
• The carnival will opperate under ARRIVE, COMPETE, LEAVE protocols
• Please aim to minimise the time spent at the venue both before and after your event/s

Diving

Warm Up: Diving Warm-Up will occur prior to each event. Please refer to the Diving Program for details. 

Carnival Commences: 10:00am

Carnival Concludes: 12:30pm

Carnival Entry and Exit will be through the Mouse Hole Event Entry only.

This is located on the Eastern side of the pool -  (off the carpark at the Diving end of the pool).

Whilst awaiting entry please follow directions of staff and signage, and be aware of physical distancing.

Carnival Official / School Staff / Coaches / Sepctators must sign in and out via Service NSW QR Code. 

CIS recommends all persons seeking entry download the Service NSW phone app prior to arriving at the carnival.

ONLY ONE SPECTATOR/ADULT PER COMPETITOR will be permitted entry.

Showers: The showers at the venue will not be available during the event. CIS recomends competitors arrive ready to compete and limit use of the change room facilities 

Assigned Seating Areas: Please ensure you are seated in the area designated to your Association only

Spectators: Spectators are encouraged to stay  in the grandstand area. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED IN the MARSHALLING AREA or ON POOL DECK 

Uniform Areas: Please practice physical distancing whilst queuing for uniform or CIS general apparel and follow all instructions from staff. Contactless payment only - no cash

Singing/Cheering/Chanting: Unfortunately, singing, cheering and chanting are not permitted at the event

All competitors, spectators and officials are to adhere to all COVID – 19 Guidelines being applied at a CIS venue.

At any venue, all competitors, spectators and officials are to maintain physical distancing, wash/sanitise their hands regularly and refrain form entering a venue if they are felling unwell.

The CIS Primary Swimming Championships will be live streamed. 

If you do not give permission for you child to be live streamed, please contact CIS. 

This can also be indicated on the Online Nomination form which parents complete prior to the event. 

Schools/Associations must notify CIS of any students that they are aware of that are not to be live streamed.

The full stream will be available, as well as each individual race following the event.

There will be no printed program.

Parking: There will be free parking for four (4) hours. After that there is a flat-rate charge of $20.00 for parking.

In line with COVID-safe practices travel by private transport is recommended. Car-pooling is not recommended.

First Aid: First Aid is provided by Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. 

Dress: Swimmers must fall in line with FINA rules and requirements regarding swimming gear. 

Association caps must be worn. 

Food & Drink: Competitors and spectators are encouraged to bring their own food and drink with them. 

The main cafe will not be accessible during the carnival. 

There will be a food/service concession available on the eastern grandstands.
