CIS Team

All swimmers who participate at the NSWCIS carnival should be available for selection in the CIS Team in the events in which they swim. Should this not be the case, individual association convenors should be notified so that they can inform the selectors prior to the meet.

Generally only those who compete at the CIS Championships will be eligible for selection in the CIS Secondary Swimming Team. Usually selections will be based on the fastest 3 times per event and the NSWCIS Selection Policy (see Operational Guidelines). Students placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd must report to the Shane Gould Room to register, purchase uniform and pay the levy. Secondary swimmers selected to compete at All Schools who withdraw without a medical certificate after Friday 1 May will incur a fine of $15.00 and may not be considered for further selection. Changes at the NSW All Schools Championships due to illness or injury will be at the discretion of the Team Managers.

Fourth place-getters are generally reserves. All 4th placegetters should report to the Shane Gould room to register as a reserve and collect information. Reserves should check the CIS website regularly to see if their status has changed from reserve to competitor.

Multi Class selection for the CIS team is subject to placing on the basis of classification and pathway qualifying standards, they are not necessarily the result of the actual race. Official Places will be posted on the result board.

Selection in the CIS Team will be confirmed on the CIS website by Monday 4 May

Please note: At NSW All Schools  the maximum age for swimmers is turning 19 in the age of competition.

Live Results:  Can be accessed through the Meet Manager App.  This can be scanned from The Meet Manager Document loaded below.

Officials
It is the responsibility of each association to ensure all officials and student helpers as outlined in the Association Officials Duties Form are allocated and present at the carnival. THESE ARE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS. It is expected that officials will be aware of their specific job and have had experience in the role at the association level.

Teacher Officials: Requirements for teachers have been kept to a minimum so it is essential that those listed ARE teachers. Should an official fail to register at the beginning of the day it is the association's responsibility to find a replacement.

Students Helpers: These are essential for the smooth running of the carnival and their availability reduces the number of teachers required at the carnival. Associations must fullfil their student allocation. If students are unavailable adult helpers MUST be supplied.

Parent Officials: Please ensure that non teachers have completed a Working with Children check.

Please note:

Uniform Duty: Adults or senior students

Marshalls: Teachers

Associations that do not fill their association duties will be fined.

Please Note :
Swim Coaches will be asked to provide their ASCTA accreditation to be able to be on pool deck, and should sign in on arrival at the recording room.
