Trials Format:
8.30am Arrive, check team list, put on assigned jumper
8.45am Introductions and team numbers recorded
9.15am Warm Up with Coach Brunton and NSWAFL
Small Sided Games (10/11 minute halves)
9.45am Round 1 – A v B, C v D
10.10am Round 2 – E v F, G v H
10.35am Round 3 - A v C, B v D
11.00am Round 4 – E v G, F v H
11.25pm Round 5 – A v D, B v C
11.50am Round 6 – E v H, G v F
12.15pm Break
12.40pm Round 7 – A v E, B vF
1.05pm Round 8 – C v G, D v H
1.30pm Round 9 – A v F, B v E (if required)
1.55pm Round 10 – C v H, D v G (if required)
2.20pm Trial Conclusion, hand out participation certificates, announce
2020 NSWCIS team.
2.30pm NSWCIS team to collect paperwork/info about NSWPSSA Carnival
on May 19 – May 21 in Byron Bay
Note: All times are subject to change.
Parking:
There will be parking available in close proximity to the Oval;
First Aid:
A qualified First Aid Officer will be in attendance for the duration of the Event;
Dress:
School Sports Uniform (Jerseys will be provided);
Mouth guards are compulsory and please bring your own sunscreen;
Food & Drink:
No Canteen Facilities are available at the Venue, meaning both Students and Staff will need to bring their own snacks, lunch and water with them to the Trials;
CIS Team:
22 students will be named in the CIS Team at the conclusion of the trial. These players will be required to stay after the trial to speak with CIS Team Management, try on uniform etc. Please note there will be some costs associated with competing at the next level. Team members will be required to pay a players levy and uniform costs, these mandatory costs totalling approximately $400. This team will go on to compete at the 2020 NSWPSSA AFL Championships from 19 - 21 May in Byron Bay;
Officials:
There is a pathway for secondary students that would like to referee at the NSWPSSA AFL Championships, and if selected, at the SSA Championships. Students need to be nominated as a referee to attend the CIS Primary AFL trials on the 7 March so that they can be assessed/ selected to accompany the CIS Team. The trial ensures that the student has the ability to referee at the PSSA level;
