Association Team Entries Due
Each Association may enter ONE team of up to 13 players

Nomination Eligibility:
17 & Under as at 31/12/yoc

Associations not entering a full or partial team in the CIS 17 Years & Under Boys Water Polo Championships must remove their team name from the sport portal by this date, indicating their intention to the convenor.    In addition, associations nominating a few talented players in a partial team entry must add these players to their team entry by this date. The word partial must be added to the end of their team name

Barbarian Team
Individuals nominated through Partial Team entries will form the basis of a Barbarian Team to compete at the trials. Should no partial entries be received there will be no Barbarian team. Should 1 association enter a partial team with 1 player a barbarian team will compete.

Associations entering a full team are asked to select three shadow players at their trials. Once the Association Entry date has passed if a Barbarian Team is required, CIS will notify each Association how many shadows are required from each Association to form the Barbarian Team. CIS will organise a coach for the Barbarian Team.

CIS Nomination Guidelines - General
1.    CIS does not accept Late Nominations.
2.    Nominations will only be accepted online from NSWCISSC Member Schools or Member Associations
3.    Once a student has been registered with CIS any subsequent sport Nomination will be a renewal rather than a registration.
4.    As a nominating teacher or association please ensure the students name, and date of birth have been entered correctly and  the Parent/Guardian email is correct and frequently used.   The system will send an email to the parent to enable them to complete the registration /renewal process.
5.    A sport nomination fee of $25.03 will be charged for all sports in 2019 with the exception of triathlon. The per nomination fee will be charged via the Sports Association and school, at the end of each term.

Parent / Guardians please note:
If your son/daughter has been nominated to attend a CIS trial you will receive an email with a link enabling you to complete the registration process or in the case of a student that has already registered to the system, a renewal in another sport.
If you have not received an email and you believe your son/daughter should have been nominated, please take the following steps prior to the close of nominations.
i)    Check your junk email.
ii)    Contact the Head of Sport at your son/daughter’s school.

This should be done prior to nominations closing.   Failure to amend/complete your son/daughter’s details by Close of Nominations may result in them not being permitted to trial. CIS DOES NOT ACCEPT LATE NOMINATIONS.

Team Sports
Where the CIS trial involves competition between Association Teams, associations will be responsible for nominating students selected in their representative teams, immediately following their trials.
All possible association teams have already been created within each sport and age level, by CIS.  To confirm team entry, Associations Delegates need to add their team officials (coach/manager) by the Association Entries Due date.

1.    Following the Association trials the Association Sport Convenor (a teacher) registers the successful students on the website (as above).

2.    The Association Delegate then moves the students from the sport into the association team. This step must be completed by close of nominations

3.    Teachers sending students to Association trials eg AICES, ISA or at the primary level IPSHA.  Should have :
i) obtained permission of both the student’s school principal and their parent / guardian to attend the trial
ii) either forwarded the student’s date of birth and parents email to the Association prior to the trial or sent it        with the student to the trial.
