Trial Phase 1 Exemption
Any player wishing to be granted an exemption from phase 1 of the trials must submit an application for exemption to CIS by the closing date for nominations. Please email jokeeffe@cis.nsw.edu.au. An exemption may be granted, for players who are have played are have played Harold Matthews (U/16 Reps) in 2019. Any player who is granted an exemption will be notified via their school within 48 hours of submitting their application and those players must physically take part in the camp to be considered for selection in the CIS Team. As per CIS Operational Guidelines, injury or illness is not considered as a reason for exemption from trials. The list of attendees for the camp will appear on the website after selection.
CIS Final Team Selection - Camp
A squad of 32 - 38 players will be selected to attend the Rugby League Camp . The list of attendees for the camp will appear on the website after selection. As a guide, the cost of the Camp in 2018 was $180 and the expected cost for players selected in the 18 Years Team could be in the vicinity of $2000. Please note if selected players are sourcing funding from any avenue, CIS will require all money to be paid up front and individuals may then approach their clubs etc. for reimbursement. CIS will supply any documentation possible in order to complete this process.
Any player who may be applying for Indigenous Funding support, please be aware in the past this has resulted in less than half of player levies being covered. Indigenous funding does not cover uniform costs at all.
