Team Nominations - where the trial is in an Inter- Association Championship format. These entries are completed by the Association Delegate.

There is a need to provide a pathway for talented students from Associations that may not be able to enter a Full Team. For sports conducted in this way there are two Nominations dates .

Association Entries Due date 

Association teams have been pre populated in each Sport Portal. If an Association does not wish to enter a team and has no talented athletes seeking to access the pathway, they must remove the team from the portal on this date. This indicates to the convenor they will not be entering a team and have no students trialling . If an association has a few  talented players they  submit a Partial Team entry.  This must be done on the day Association Entries are due. Associations add these players to the team in the applicable sport portal.  *The word Partial should be added to the end of the team name This enables the convenor to work out the best way to cater for these students and keep both the trial process and the Championship as fair as possible. Please remember it is first and foremost a trial to select a CIS Team. The process used will vary depending on the nature of the sport and the number of students accessing the pathway in this way.

Options Include:

i)rotating a player between teams

ii) absorbing 1 player into each team

iii) absorbing a player into a team that ma be down on numbers

  iv) combining two partial teams to make a team

iV) creating a barbarian team –  depending on numbers associations may be called on to provide
        extra players for this team

The convenor/ in consultation with CIS and committee will determine the best method for their sport. Associations may be asked to provide extra players for a barbarian team and should have shadows that may be called up . If shadows are used, they are eligible for selection in the CIS Team.
